PN 3 Brecha de Roland

Goriz refuge - Brecha de Roland - Mount Taillón (3.146 m)

Route that connects two key points in the National Park: Góriz Refuge and the iconic Brèche de Roland; with the possibility of continuing to the summit of Mount Taillón.

This long and varied route allows for a great number of observations of a variety of geological aspects. Fossils of marine sponges, folds and tectonic structures, karst cavities and, above all, the Brèche de Roland; a gap that has become an iconic landscape element of the National Park and natural door between the two sides cross-border region Pyrenees- Monte Perdido, declared World Heritage.

From there, a steep track leads to the summit of Mount Taillón, one of the great peaks in the National Park and from where we can enjoy an excellent view of the French side of Mount Perdido.
