This route passes by rocks from the Quaternary, according to the geological time scale, and rocks from the Middle and Upper Eocene that are between approximately 49 and 35 million years old.
Information panels tell us about the materials transported and deposited by the Ara River for the last thousand years.
The first two panels make reference to its use and the way those materials are arranged by the river along its final course. The third panel tells us about another type of sedimentary rock: marlstone. The final panel shows us the contact among the observed rocks and explains why they are arranged in this specific way..
