The Sobrarbe-Pirineos UNESCO Global Geopark, member of the Ecotourism Club of Spain, has participated in the 6th Permanent Seminar organized by the Ecotourism Club, together with the Secretary of State for Tourism and the Autonomous Organization of National Parks. It was developed from June 18 to 20 in the CENEAM (National Center for Environmental Studies), located in Valsaín, Segovia.

Various administrations and business associations throughout Spain, including the Turismo Verde Association and Sobrarbe-Pirineos UNESCO World Geopark as members of Aragon, we have gathered to work on a tourism model that combines the enhance of the environment and sustainable development. A point of exchange of experiences and work to advance in a practical way in the resolution of the needs of the tourism sector in areas of influence of protected areas, such as National Parks, Natural Parks, Biosphere Reserves and Geoparks, 4 figures of protection and recognition that we have in Sobrarbe

Throughout two days of work, the Daimiel Ecotourism Declaration Roadmap and its recommendations have been followed up. We have had the opportunity to learn about the ecotourism initiatives put in place by the destination managers and local tourism associations to improve their connection with the Ecotourism Club. Practical workshops have also been developed for the national and international on-line promotion of Ecotourism and work has been done on proposals and new actions to give visibility and dissemination to the work of this club

Ecotourism, as it is defined by Daimiel's declaration, is marked as an objective that by means of the interpretation of the natural environment, wealth is generated for its inhabitants, population is set and it is done in a responsible and sustainable way. From the Sobrarbe-Pirineos UNESCO World Geopark, we continue working on this line.
